7 Weeks to Go: Music To Your Ears

With Down By The Riverside Festival just 49 days away, we thought it was about time we gave you something a bit meaty to keep you going until the big day. So, with that in mind here’s a run down of our confirmed musical acts so far. Spanning two incredible stages and cultures from all over the world, this really is a “giant” line-up!

On the main stage…

Tytania

After years on the road and in the studio Tytania released their critically acclaimed debut album in 2016. The award winning title track ‘Higher’ has reached number one in independent music charts and picked up numerous awards including best music video.

Longy

From being awarded Demo of the Year (XFM London) for his selfreleased debut EP, to filling Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen on a Tuesday night during the tube strike and even convincing the cream of the British press that he’s headlining Glastonbury, all without putting a single song online, LONGY knows how to get people talking.

The Flatlanders

A five-piece rock band from the coastal flatlands of North Lancashire, England, playing a great mix of covers from 1960s to present day.

Listen now!

Joe Platt

The soft psychedelic indie dream pop solo project of Joe Platt based in Blackpool.

Amber Suns

Taking some light influence from the world of electronic music and blending evocative hooks and vocal harmonies to create a unique blend of piano-pop.
The band began creating and learning their craft in the basement of the illustrious Carlton Club located on Morecambe promenade.

And on the Small Corner stage…
